The last week has been a triumphant one for President Donald Trump, who has been cleared of ch*arges of i*mpeachment. Yet despite that, the president has managed to go viral on social media yet again for a different reason: because of his appearance in a new series of photographs showing him returning to the White House.

The pictures were taken by photographer William Moon, who later shared them on the Twitter account @photowhitehouse. In one, Moon captured a shot of the president walking across the South Lawn of the White House after returning from Charlotte, North Carolina, which certainly intrigued those who saw it.

On Twitter, social media users immediately began editing the pics to turn them into humorous image macros, or else captioning the pics themselves.

Meanwhile, someone else added: "When I saw this pic I involuntarily made the same sound as when I watch people catch catfish by having the fish bite their hand. [sic]"

But Trump isn't the only politician to go viral this week. When Trump delivered his State of the Union address, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi ended up inspiring countless memes after she tore up a copy of Trump's speech.

Pelosi later issued a statement on the speech, saying;

"President Trump's address tonight gave no comfort to the 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions or the families struggling to afford the prescription d*rugs they need."

She added: "The manifesto of mistruths presented in page after page of the address tonight should be a call to action for everyone who expects truth from the President and policies worthy of his office and the American people. The American people expect and deserve a President to have integrity and respect for the aspirations for their children."
