Stray Dog Is Seen Guarding Elderly Woman Lying In The Mud By A River—The Dogs Care About Her Safety

Dogs are known for their loyalty to their owners. Unlike humans, they don’t care for one’s social status, job and fame before befriending them. Regardless of the history of their humans, dogs show unconditional love towards their owners.

Ake Srisuwan, a netizen from Thailand, recently uploaded a few touching photos on Facebook. In the banks of a muddy river, two dogs were seen to be standing apart from one another, appearing to be guarding something.

From a distance, there seems to be a person lying on the mud by the river, and it was that person whom the dogs were watching. However, Ake couldn’t figure out who the person was nor the reason for them being there. He wasn’t even sure if they were alive or d*ead.

He decided to walk closer to check, and was surprised to find out that it was an old woman covered in mud. She seemed to have fallen asleep by the shore. The two dogs were reluctantly standing by her side, refusing to leave even with a stranger being there. They too, were covered in mud, but that didn’t seem to bother them at all.

Ake was worried that the elderly woman might be injured or sick.

After questioning several people in the area, he knew that the old woman was blind and homeless. No matter where she went, she was followed by the two stray dogs to protect her.

Some people claimed that the old woman might have been drunk and unknowingly came to the river and ended up sleeping there. Apparently she did not realize that sleeping in this place was too dangerous, as the river was quite dirty and inhabited unknown marine creatures.

The affection shown by the two stray dogs and the attitude of protecting the owner made the Ake emotional. He was moved by their unconditional gesture. He later sent the woman and the stray dogs to hospital for treatment.

Following his post. netizens shared their hope and wish for the old woman and the dogs, prompting local authorities to reach out to her and provide her and the animals proper shelter and care.
